Video de Jack Andraka y una buena utilización del Internet

Jack Andraka tiene 15 años, todavía va al instituto y adora el kayak así como ver en la televisión programas como 'Glee' y, cuando el tiempo se lo permite, trabaja en uno de los laboratorios de investigación del cáncer más respetados del mundo.

Andraka ha creado un sistema de detección del cáncer de páncreas 168 veces más rápido y 1.000 veces más barato que otros sistemas existentes en el campo. Ya ha aplicado para patentar su prueba del cáncer y ahora se dedica a continuar sus investigaciones en la Universidad John Hopkins, en la ciudad estadounidense de Baltimore.

Lo más curioso es que el joven llevó a cabo su proeza gracias al uso de Google.

Según el estadounidense, quien en mayo ganó una beca de US$75.000 en la Feria Internacional de Ciencia e Ingeniería Intel, los buscadores de internet y los trabajos científicos disponibles de forma gratuita en internet fueron las herramientas que le sirvieron para desarrollar el sistema.

La BBC estuvo con el adolescente, quien dice que la idea se le ocurrió mientras atendía una clase de biología.
